California Rural Indian Health Board Praises Identity Finder’s PHI Discovery
In TribalNet Magazine’s most recent edition, the California Rural Indian Health Board (CRIHB)’s IS Officer, Adam Culich praised Identity Finder’s world-class PHI-finding capabilities. As Adam writes, securing PII, PHI and PIFI is of paramount concern. It was his task to search through 1.2 TB of file shares where PHI and PII might exist. On a tight budget and with limited staff, it was impossible to manually open every single document to search for social security numbers.
Instead, CRIHB turned to Identity Finder, which excels at scouring unstructured data for sensitive personal information and PHI like diagnosis codes, social security numbers, and payment card information. After a thorough scan of CRIHB’s internal networks, Adam reports,
“After using Identity Finder, we now know exactly where PHI and PII exists on our network and we can say with 100% certainty that only users that should be able to access this type of information have access.” (p. 15)
Identity Finder is proud to help CRIHB secure sensitive personal information and protect its members against identity theft.
