Spirion is honored to have been recognized by Tampa Bay Inno during their virtual 2020 Inno on Fire awards ceremony, held November 17, 2020. We are especially proud to receive a Coronavirus Heroes Blazer Award for our ‘This One’s On Us’ initiative to aid local restaurant workers so hard hit by the global pandemic.
Helping to feed those in need
Spirion launched a restaurant relief program in mid-April 2020 to raise funds to provide meals for restaurant employees, either to take home to their families or feed others in need.
Company employees participated in the program by donating a percentage of their paychecks to purchase meals from local eateries to give to the restaurant’s staff. Since the launch of the initiative, over $10,000 has been raised to help feed more than 800 restaurant workers and their families.
We believe ‘This One’s On Us’ represents the best of St. Pete—individuals and businesses coming together behind a common goal to help each other in a time of need. Spirion is committed to supporting our vibrant community and those in need, and we are grateful for our generous employees who joined the initiative to help us reach our goal.
Tampa Bay Inno’s 2020 Blazer Awards
Tampa Bay Inno covers the Sun Coast’s thriving business, startup and tech communities. For this year’s Blazer Awards, the editorial team compiled a list of 50 local tech and startup companies “that have set the local ecosystem on fire in 2020.” The editorial team considered, “companies with massive expansion, groundbreaking launches, a slew of top- notch hires and more — all in a time of unprecedented change.”
The 2020 Blazer Awards were presented across ten categories including B2B, B2B, Cybersecurity, Edtech, Healthtech, and Coronavirus Hero.
International Accolades
In addition to receiving local recognition for our ‘This One’s On Us’ initiative, Spirion has also gained international attention and accolades including:
- The 2020 International Business Awards named Spirion a Bronze Stevie Award winner for “Most Valuable Corporate Response” in the COVID-19 Response category.
- The company also received a Gold One Planet Award for ‘Company Response of the Year’ for our team’s coordinated and rapid response to aid those impacted by the pandemic.
