Info Security Grand AwardThe Silicon Valley, United States (SVUS) Global Excellence Awards program honors achievements in every facet of security and information technology. The Info Security Product Guide Global Excellence Awards were created to honor and generate industry-wide and peer recognition of best companies, products, people, PR, and more from all over the world.

Info Security Products Guide, the industry’s leading information security research and advisory guide, has named Spirion, a winner in the 16th Annual 2020 Info Security PG’s Global Excellence Awards® in six categories, Big Data Security, Compliance and Vulnerability Management,  Data Classification and Governance, Data Security Solution, Privacy Solution, and Most Innovative Compliance Solution. Spirion Data Privacy Manager took gold, silver, and bronze awards.

Spirion was also recognized as a grand trophy winner. Grand trophy winners exhibit overall excellence in diverse categories and impressed judges with the quality of entry submissions and content.

Awards by category include:

Info Security Gold   Info Security Bronze   Info Security Silver

Each award category required a 650 word essay along with an explanation of why Spirion deserves recognition. A portion of Spirion’s essay from its Data Classification and Governance award, summarized its mission by saying:

“When you collect sensitive, private data, you possess the most invaluable assets of your colleagues, customers and communities. This data inevitably puts your company’s security at risk and has the potential to paralyze performance and cripple efficiency company wide. The real issue isn’t just about avoiding regulatory non-compliance; it’s about preventing a breach of trust granted to you by your colleagues, customers and community. Once breached, trust is nearly impossible to regain — and trust is a key driver of your company’s image and ability to compete successfully.”

More than 35 judges from around the world representing a wide spectrum of industry experts participated in the judging process. Judges are from Microsoft, JPMorgan Chase, Ernst and Young, Amazon, Schlumberger, VMware, Walmart, Cisco, Paypal, and other organizations.
